Description

This course is designed to instill in the student an appreciation for the unique art forms of stage combat and stunts. Students will learn the basic aspects of unarmed stage combat, rolling, falling, grappling, punches, kicks, etc. Particular attention will be paid to the safeties required to perform fights as well as how to connect stage combat techniques to text, character and intention.

Daniel Martin

Dan Martin is a CYT alumnus who did many shows such as Singing in the Rain, the Little Mermaid, the Sound of Music, and many more. He majored in vocal music education and now teaches drama at Valor North Austin. He is certified in unarmed stage combat and enjoys juggling hats on occasion.
